As the title suggests a list of gaskets and seals with part numbers would be very useful for members.I know on some of the guides they are mentioned but here in one place alot easier to find. Then members could add known suppliers of parts, some are easy some less so and up to date prices. What do you all think???

Presumably admins have the ability to edit posts even when they've been up for a while, so a 'database' like you suggest could be edited as and when members go to their dealer and get quoted for a part. I, for one, do notice that finding how much stuff costs on OOF can be tricky. You tend to find a post, but from several years ago, prices have inevitably altered since then. Lot's of "get from main dealer they're only £20".. you then go in to find that they were actually £28...plus vat...so £32.90... and that was then, with old 17.5%vat... now they're £31...plus vat...so £37.20. Which I appreciate to many people is 'about' £20, but in my book it isn't.
Again, the (very helpful) How Tos which will often include a list of part numbers and prices will invariably be out of date, even part numbers becoming replaced by newer as they become NLS.
I'm up for the idea, for one. :)

I think reality is, the Admins wouldn't have the time do keep it updated. I know I wouldn't :y :y

Fair point, some stick gets occasionally directed to them but they're basically running this place for free in their own spare time.
I know when we've done group buys and so on the system has been to quote the previous post, but add your name to the bottom. Maybe a list like that, which any OOFer can simply amend with a price increase / cheaper source / alternative?

Finding anything would just be a case of Ctrl + F on your web browser. Possible?- or some thing along those lines?
