If you can stretch to £120ish, go for a Garmin Nuvi!  :y

I use it instead of the crap thats built into my current car.  :-X

Yes I have a Garmin from 2008 which has been great and cost circa £50 from Halfords.  :y

I've never bothered to update the software though so occasionally it tells me that I'm driving across fields or driving through temporary speed limits!  ;D

I keep the sound turned off so that's not a problem.  ;)

You have a habit of buying cheap tat phones.......but being android based should still be able to run the likes of google maps, wayz or Telenav Scout all of which are free or pay a bit to get Tomtom (with speed cameras)

Not on a contract of any description so I think I'll have to pay for 'data'.

I tend to use street view before I go,  look at the key junctions, then I reconise them on route  :y

I'd love an Android Watch. Be good for Sat Nav on the bike!

Top tip. Don't buy a large screen satnav, just buy a small cheap one and strap an inexpensive magnifying glass to it  :y

Bloke down the pub said, with tomtom on an a tablet right in the middle of your view, there's no reason to look outside. At all.

Google maps on a phone is free too  :y I use it on my iphone for sat nav...it does traffic too...however if you haven't got a data plan, you can download and save areas of maps on wifi and then use in offline mode  :y ....can be handy if you have got a data plan...but loose signal  ;)

I can't see the point of a large screen, as a small one has always been enough for me. It's not as if she's going to drive along continually looking at the damn thing. Is she?

Oh, and Tom-Tom for me everytime.

I fitted a cupholder to the air vent on my MFL and then fitted a Large screen Tomtom in a mount that dropped into the cupholder. No fiddling with the mount on the back, just lift out  :y

Yes, I do that too............. :y :y

However my latest car has Sat Nav built in, love using it, but you need to know where you are going, roughly, as it sometimes try to take me the 'wrong' way....... ::) ::)
