Post by: Terbs on 30 May 2015, 12:37:15
We all slag off e-bay, but I have to say....
Yesterday at 3.30pm I ordered an item, with free post and packing via Royal Mail......and it was delivered at 11.00am today. :o  Really well packed too.
Restores my faith in the postal system :y

I ordered an item this week from europarts, free delivery and delivered next day by UPS which I thought was impressive  when compared to Amazon as I`m also finding their actual delivery dates to be problematic with postage to pay for sub £20 orders :)

Over the years I've bought a total of 160 items off e-bay and I've never had a problem with any of them.

Not exactly a delivery issue, but still a plaudit for Ebay.
Last December I booked a holiday rental for one day/night in London and had to pay £200 deposit (damage waiver) and £18 part rental, the rest payable on arrival.
On arrival, the occupiers had never heard of the "landlord" as they were the owners and not in the rental business.
After reporting this incident to Ebay/payPal, I was refunded in full within a week or so.

That's not the sort of thing I would use ebay for though. I purchase all sorts, most recently a mouse mat and fish food, never anything I could not afford to loose money on.... :y

I ordered a replacement blade for my lawnmower yesterday from Amazon, was quoted Tuesday 2nd as delivery date. Just had an email, they're delivering today.
