Title: Motorbikes

Are they positive or negative earth?Bike in question is a Lexmoto 125 I've bought.It had no battery fitted so I've bought one for it but need to know which way round to connect it,then I can find out what else it needs to make it run!

British bikes generally switched from positive earth to negative when they switched from 6 volt to 12 volt in late 1960's early 1970's

Never heard of Lexmoto - is it a Chinese copy of a Honda CG125? :-\

It's certainly a Chinese knock off of either the Honda or Yamaha yes.Thought I'd ask as the last bike I rode relied solely on a magneto for electrical power!

According to this image on "Chinese motorcycle parts online" it will be negative earth.
