Just had our tax credit forms through the post :(
As of the 17/8, the household is 330 quid a month out of pocket.
Our lasses hours are dropping >:(
I'm struggling to get money / work in >:(
The lad finishes his 2nd year of his painting and decorating course at collage in around 3 weeks time and is pishing in the wind looking for funding for his 3rd year / jobs.
When will he receive dole money ?
How much ?
He is 20 in October.
No snide comments about getting a getting jobs ect please ;)
All genuine helpful advise gratefully received :)

I hope things pick up in the near future.

If the household income is changing you can call them and they will do an adjustment :y

No, I read that as the loss of Tax Credits due to the lad coming out of training! I may be wrong, but no tax credits to two working adults, assuming working over 16 hours..... :-\

He has nothing to lose for calling... I assumed such a large drop in her income came from dropping hours...

Well, not sure of the whole story really, either way, I hope it all works out for them...... :y :y

Sorry for the delay with this post lads
I was fondling over a 1000 women's bra's and nickers until 3:30am monday morning in Manchester and again Tuesday afternoon 8) :D :D
On £6.50 a hour :(
For those who don't know, i've been doing zero hour contract stocktaking to bring some money in while i'm not doing sparky / alarm work :)
Yup, the money we are going to be down is indeed the child working credits and the benefit formally known as family allowance.
The missus is on a 30 hour contract so we receive about 50 quid a month from Uncle Dave @ No10.
The missus works for LIDL.
The shop she is working at is closing during September for around 9 - 12 months for a total rebuild and she has been given the choice of move to another shop and get some of her hours, tear the contract up and pish off or try and get another job for the 12 months then come back.
The problem with contacting the tax credit office is indeed if they know you work less then the 30 hours, the lot goes out of the window >:(
The lad got a lecture off me on Monday night about pulling his weight and fair play to him, he came home with the news that he has a interview @JD Sports (zero hour contract) on Thursday afternoon so fingers crossed :)
