Can you use paint stripper on a alloy wheel. Dont want to get it dipped. i have stripped the inner wheel just want to sort put between the spokes
-
Yes.
But modern DIY type paint stripper is crap.
-
I do agree. its had 4 coats of nitromose only just starting to lift.

Any boatyards nearby? If so, find one that uses something called the Farrow System or similar for stripping antifouling and see if they can help... Otherwise try and get them sand blasted :-\
-
Managed too remove what I needed to not a super job but it will do for now.
Al, trouble with sandblastering alloys is it leaves a very fine pitting which you the have to use a lot of high filler primer.
-
Ah, that makes sense thinking it through ;)
