I "broke" my beloved Bullet a couple of days back, when it drifted into one of the many Grand Canyons that Buckinghamshire County Council are trying to make in the north of their country.
It went in with a hell of a clout, "quite" fast, and at an awkward angle, and a couple of seconds later I got a coolant level warning (not to mention an odd pull).
I've investigated this morning, the pull may be due to inflation on tyre, so guess its either knocked some air out of it, or slow punctured it - time will tell, but no visible signs of damage.
The coolant warning though, any guesses?

Float dislodged?
Wire fell off?
All the coolant came out?
-
:y float dislodged.

Sounds like you've given the front end a right jolt. I thing you were lucky to get away with just coolant warning.
The float has probably tried to escape and got stuck or, knowing your luck, you've loosened the most awkward, hidden joint somewhere deep in the bowels of your motor ;D
You're lucky you didn't knacker you suspension.........or maybe you did?

Loom broke off header bottle?

I tried that second lot. They sent me a bag of dog food >:(

The best way to put this right is to drive the opposite corner into the same pothole. Equilibrium will be restored......honest. Try it :y

"couple of seconds later" Hmm. ::)
Front wheel punted through inner wing into coolant bottle? ;D
Radiator shock tested to destruction?

That happens to my Coolant message. I hit a traffic hump, and bumph....message. Deliberately hit the next hard...bumph....message gone. Have now stuffed finger in tank, waggled shite out of the float....200+ miles, nor warnings :y

AHA! My theory has been confirmed. DO IT! Go on....please.... ;D

Your coolant level sits quite low iirc?
A jolt could have just been enough. Did it cancel and not return? Presume so.

Did it cancel and not return? Presume so.
No. It most definitely returned.

I clicked on your reply stating "No." Then when I posted my reply, the rest was added.
Ordinarily. Once reply is clicked, what's posted is set in the quote. The edit doesn't then appear in said quote taken at that time.

It would have been in the text box when you typed the reply - trust me, that's the way the software works (and why you can play silly beggers when quoting someone) :)

The correct answer is the float dislodged. Its popped the top off that retains the float, so both bits are floating around in the bottle :'(
