Went to the tracking place yesterday, and the guy suggested I get the springs replaced before he does the setup, as he initially asked if I had LPG fitted, because she was sitting so low at the rear. When I looked properly I saw what he meant. Upon studying she seems to be about 10mm lower on the OS rear tot he NS, too.
Anyone know if there's a way to tell what springs are fitted? part numbers will be nonexistent, I suspect, I know the LSCs have a blue dot on them, just wondering if there's anything I can look out for, or even measure the springs once they're off, for that matter?
Can't think of any other reason why she should be sitting so low, and also not symmetrical.
Now wondering if someone's fitted an odd self-levelling spring or something!

Just had new sachs springs fitted to the rear.
Car was sitting low on the same side as yours (3 fingers between wheel arch and tyre on the passenger side and 2 fingers on the drivers side) this didn't change after replacing springs. Interested to know what it is but doesnt affecting the handling as far as I can tell

Check for a snapped spring, common for last tail/curve to snap off :y

Hmm... thanks.
If it were the other way round I might be able to say 'ahhh the spare wheel affects it' but for it to happen the other side is odd. Also the exhaust is the NS, too. How odd, glad it's not just me.

Thanks tunnie. :y I could say 'well it wasnt like that the other week' , but of course it can happen any time.
I didn't see anything when I was last down there (nor did the MoT tester) but well worth a look.
Ahh dinner break in 6 mins, time to get on my back! :y

Hard to see with wheel on, although can be done by feel as well.
Try and count of follow it down, usually it's the last little bit that goes.
Last one that failed for me...

Mine went a bit saggy on one side at the rear like this and the springs were good, but a set of new shocks sorted it. :y

Hmmm.... initially thought I had lost a coil/turn, but on closer inspection that rusty bit is the spring (at first I thought it was the 'cup' that the spring coils around) She's definitely sitting more 'squashed' on the OS.

LH and 204 give any clues?

After a good dig on google I found this place - the 'omegaownersforum' if anyone's heard of it? :D

The link shows most models, including 2.5V6 sharing the same rear springs with letter code LH. No idea what (if any) letter code is on my NS spring. Either way, the NS is higher than the OS, but without any [apparent] snapped spring. I think going by that, a spring has been replaced at some point, and presumably the NS.
The plot thickens.... :-\
