Title: TC and lock fault

Hi all....
Chap just arrived on site with a 3.2 Omega...saw mine, and asked me if I knew why.....
The TC light comes on at idle, but goes out as soon as the car is put into drive, and does not appear again until back in park and idle.
also.....
The drivers door lock button does not go down when locking, all other buttons do. I said that sounds like door solenoid/motor, but would ask those more experienced than me. :y

Hope you can help me draw another owner into the fold. :y

I should add reference the TC light....I asked about codes, he said no. ABS light not on, speedo , power steering all ok. just the TC light does not extinguish until put into drive :y

Door lock, yes, the motor switches are most likely. Either strip motor and replace switches, or replace the entire motor.

TC, needs codes reading from engine, gearbox and ABS to ascertain what is going on.

Thanks TB.....I assume that means a tech2, and pedal/paperclip won't read those specific codes :y

Yes, you need to read Engine, ABS and Gearbox most likely, so a Tech 2 would be best. :y
