Title: Gone wrong again
Post by: pauls on 14 June 2015, 19:27:28
At the moment everything I do seems to be 2 steps forward and 1 back >:(

Example I picked up a set of 18" fox racing alloys, I gave them a bit of a refurb and new 235/40/18 dunlop max rts and then fitted them yesturday while putting on the plastic bolt covers I noticed the covers didnt go into the recess as far as the other ones. Took them back off today and found that 1 of them had a offset of 28 and the others are 33.

So now what to do just leave it on the back and forget it.
 Get a 5mm spacer.
Leave it on and keep looking for a new wheel with the correct et.

Does it look that odd from the back of your car that you could get pulled for it,,,if not maybe leave it until you get the opportunity to change it  8)

It looks fine from all angles. I wouldn't have spotted it if i hadn't put the caps on.

Will it cause a tracking issue if i just leave it.

Doubt it will make much odds on the back tbh. But a spacer and longer bolts won't hurt, if the spacer doesn't cause balance issues of course.
