No doubt someone more knowledgeable than I will be along shortly,but as far as I know there were only two types of auto box fitted to Omegas.Namely the AR25 and AR35,I believe the 2.5 would have the 25 fitted.Before condemning the box what makes you believe it to be fubar'd?

Ar25 on the 2.5

But the ar35 is stronger and will fit.

25=250nm torque.
35=350nm torque on the bigger and more torquey 3.0/3.2

Do not take an auto ar25 from a TD. They are under strength on that engine.

What symptoms do you have? Checked ATF level etc?

Cheers guys I've had a recommended technician on the case whom I trust and it's easier to get another that rebuild. Oil level was ok as I saw to that part regular. Other symptoms were it was 'dangle berries'ed to be honest. :-\
