Title: Zafira bonnet catch adjustment
Post by: SMD on 15 June 2015, 22:43:37
The bonnet on my Zafira doesn't open unless someone is pushing down on it - my Omega used to do this which I fixed thanks to the guide on here. I'm guessing it's something similar again but I can't locate the cable. Anyone know?

Mark, Al, Tea Boy? Plenty of Zafira owners here I'm sure.  :y

Cable runs under slam panel iirc, two screws hold top of bumper/grill to it... Undo them and all might be a bit clearer, but should still has an assister spring even if the actual latch arrangement is different :y

Thanks Al. I'll take a look at some point during the week.

The assister spring bit is too technical for me  ;D

Right I finally got round to doing this.  ::)

I have adjusted the cable (by pulling the cable to the right - passenger side by about 5-7mm) and now there isn't much travel in the lever and the bonnet is still not opening.

Should I pull be pulling the cable the other way? My assistant is nowhere to be found  ::)

Now fixed. The pin and catch mechanism needed a bit of grease.
