What can cause the error codes below?
P1525 Limp Home Position Error
P1550 Electronic Throttle Control Engine Stop
Won't start from cold or hot occasionally.
Engine seems to run fine.
Thanks

Cam sensor can give hot starting issues, only time I have had issues with 2.2 is when cam sensor goes. It often causes lot of other random codes.

Is there any way to test the cam sensor with a multi meter?
Thanks

Anything in any of the other related ECUs, ie, ABS and TCM?
What code reader, as the reason for 1550 may be rubbish if using likes of "My Naff Code Reader"

Wont be cam sensor, imo.....that only gives hot starting probs...well...when hot it will start but goes into 'limp mode'.
It also throws up random gearbox codes as well.....which you don't have ....

I read that this morning. Something to do with dry solder joints.
