Really must get around to investigating noise on the back of the 2.2, as shocks were last changed in 2008, around 70k ago, could well be them ;D
Will have to pop lower bolt off, push them up and see if they return correctly.

Have Meyle rear shocks for just £25, anyone used them before? Very happy with the Meyle droplinks.

Yes, I put them on Elvis last year - excellent quality, but I only did about 2k before I sold him, so no idea of longevity.

Budget for replacement mounting kit too, but I cannot suggest which one without seeing a Meyle shock next to a Bilstein B4/GM original :-\

If they need replacing, I'll get the shocks and post up the mounting kit. No mega rush to sort it, not covering many miles in it at the moment, due to the good weather

IIRC it was included with the shocks, but you're better off asking Jason if that's the case.

Yes the kit I'm expecting to be included, but will check. The B4's kit does not get good feedback, hence wondering how this kit would be.

They solution is to budget for the Gm mounting kits... The problem is that to recommend the saloon or estate kit depends entirely on the threaded length of the shock rod...
On the B4s for the saloon, that difference is some 10-12mm shorter thread than on the Gm ones... So if buying B4s then the only recommendation is to fit the estate mounting kit... As per my Cautionary Note thread :y
To confirm for the Meyle ones, you simply need to know precisely how the threaded length compares with the B4s :y

Do you know how long they are? If I bought them and measured the Meyle ones can we compare, or do we need them side by side?

Side by side would be easiest... Perhaps Jason would be able to oblige:-\ the Meyle ones need to be a minimum of 10mm longer ;)

I fitted a set of KYB rear shocks to mine about 6 months ago that cost approx £30 from ebay for the pair and included the fitting kit. :y
