Title: How much remaining road tax on your Omega?
Post by: Field Marshal Dr. Opti on 04 July 2015, 15:04:36
I have absolutely no idea. Three months......five months.....ten months. No idea.

I seen to remember a time when all cars were required  to display a small circular disc in the corner of the screen. A casual glance was all that was needed to tell you when it was necessary to put your hand in your pocket. You may  have smiled, or grimaced, depending on how many months remained.

No longer care.

Pay monthly while I have the car, yes its slightly more expensive. but worth it to no longer have an annual £300 bill

I'm sure if I spend 30 minutes or so on some obscure website I can find the answer. :)

The first most people will know is when they receive a nice 'pay up shithead' reminder........which was already in place with the old tax disc.

£535 Ouch!

Yep.....July 2007.

If registered before March 2006 it would have been significantly less.

Is this the same as 'a bag of money'?

Pay monthly on the MV6 and will be on the elite when it's due at the end of the month. Last time I had to ring DVLA up after six weeks to see were my refund was, then they sent me a letter to say I had not filled in the form correctly so they would take it from the date of there letter. I gets on the dog and bone to them, look Dick Turpin you check said form please as I have a photo copy here of what I sent you, 5 min later Dick Turpin said, oh yes so I see, two weeks later I get me beer tokens back.

Now with the new system it's costs me less than £1 a day for tax on the 3.2 and DD stops from the day I sell or sorn the car :y me now happy bunny apart from not knowing which of the two Omega's I will use each day. Black one or black one :D
