Title: Ebay arghhh!
Post by: omegod on 07 July 2015, 11:48:22
I've had it with them, against my better judgement I allowed German a buyer to buy some wing mirrors via the global shipping programme and posted them to ebays Derby depot but they appear to have dissapeared in the warehouse and the buyer has rightfully opened a case against me and as we both got nowhere trying to sort it I asked him to escalate the case, as the case was raised in Germany the resolution center is also in
German  ::).

4 weeks and counting and still no resolution but my paypal funds are on hold. Has anyone ever tried working with Ebay customer services...absolute joke, live chat just cuts you off when they realise they haven't got a clue how to help you and the same with phone calls, I even got put through to ebay.de who were slightly more use . There is no way to email a complaint either  >:( >:(

Any suggestions of other sites where used parts can be sold ??

The problem is, any such suggestion that the Global Shipping Program isn't the most perfect idea in the world suddenly falls into the category of 'racist'  >:( I mean surely the same as saying 'foreigners aren't to be trusted'

Nevertheless, I don't want to sell to China, the Far East, Romania or Greece. The Netherlands, US, France, Australia I've all sold to repeatedly and been fine. And equally screwed over by the former counties equally. But surely it's my/the seller's prerogative to choose where they sell to. This concept has been dumped on all ebayers, but it's just a terrible idea, leading to, at best, increased cockups between various countries' postal services, at worst, an open door for scamming left right and centre.

I'm glad you're sorted now, but it's going to happen a lot more as far as I can see.
