Hi,
I assume best stuff the the GM 10W/40 Semi Synthetic ?
Normally use this in my MFL V6, but wondered if the 2.2 preferred a different flavour ? (with it having 2 cyclinders missing :D)
Its my dads 2.2 so want to get it sorted for him as oil looks distinctly black !!! :'(
Thanks.

Think I have answered my own question ;D
GM 10W/40 Semi Synthetic seems to be consensus.
5lts of GM's finest now ordered :)
Will get GM filter as they were buttons along with o-ring for sump plug :y

My 2.2 has been on GM Semi for nearly 100k in my ownership, runs sweet :y

:y Thats good to know - Thanks.
Not sure why, but the mechanic my dad has used seems to have put 5W 40 or something in her (the first number is definately at 5W as I noticed on the can.)
I shall drop the black treacle out of it, pour the remainng fresh 5W 40 through with sump plug out and filter off untill runs clear and then put the decent GM 10W/40 in :y Throttle body off for good clean (never been off) and hopefully she should run smooth fron start up as the does seemed a bit rough for first min or two, but is then fine. Will do Throttle body first as best done with engine cold I assume.
4.5lts I recall was the oil capacity ????
Thanks all. Just need my dad to get out of Intensice Care Unit now to enjoy his Omega :(

Yes just under 5L, nice and handy as it uses just one tub :y
Worth filling the oil filter first :)
