Did anyone watch this episode tonight?
After 'Fatty Brewer' and his mate had fettled the 383 cubic inch V8 they took it to the drag strip.
Fast?......no shit slow.
The best fatty Brewer could manage was a quarter mile in 18 seconds...... ;D
Sheesh.....My Omega is quicker than that.
Bit of a let down really. :-\
-
Dont forget all of his extra weight he has to carry.. ;D ;D ;D
-
Always find that program disappointing :(
-
Edd China,
always makes things look so easy, but then he doesn't have to do stuff on a cold wet and windy drive or roadway ::) and the new parts just drop out of thin air......just like that :D Give them a shitty 15 year old Omega to skin his knuckles on.....that'll sort the men from the boys :P :P

Is that his real name?
I agree. Anyone can make it look easy with new parts and a centrally heated garage.

I believe it is his real name

It's certainly the name he had when he was at school ;)

He always comes across like a nice fella at the car shows he's at.. or at least he never grumbles about posing with fans for photos (who all look like munchkins next to him! ;D)

Bet he wouldnt fit in an omega :-\
-
lol yep, he's chuffing enormous!
He drives a silver Disco if memory serves..
-
I'm 6'7" and I fit in an omega so Edd would be fine I'm sure. :y
-
Sure that was arepeat from a while ago.Now that Charger I'd have, especially in that colour. In fairness I think Ed China does the best he can to make that programme considering who he has to work with!!
-
Brewer is always disappointing, he's one of the worst presenters on TV...
Edd China is a very experienced and competent mechanic...
I do wish that WD would do 'ordinary' cars instead of cars that are usually beyond the average persons reach...
-
Would be nice if they done a omega :y :y

They wouldn't have the patience or expertise to work on one :-\
-
and they wouldn't make a profit.
-
they often dont anyway ;D

I suppose it depends what you call ordinary, but I don't remember them doing many things that I'd consider beyond reach.. beyond sensible reach, maybe (things like old VW busses are silly money for rot boxes these days, but still affordable to buy if not to weld up every year), but they are hardly doing £60k cars, are they?
There's not much TV in endlessly doing up £500 cars by blowing over a wing and giving it a polish before making £200 for a weeks labour, I suppose!
