Hi.
A thought whilst cycling back today :D
I shall be giving my Dad's 2.2 Petrol FL an oil change at the weekend :y
As he is in hospital, the car has been stood for a week (I cleaned throttle body last week :y)
Given the oil will DEFINITELY, after being stood for a week, be well settled would it be best to:
1/ Undo drain plug as she is ?
or
2/ Run engine for a few mins then drain ?
Just a daft thought really as I contemplated given all oil would almost definately be at the bottom the whip drain plug and will drain it all !!!
I would run some fresh oil to check all running clear before plug in and refill.
Cheers,
Andy.

Nice and hot :y
I usually take it for a drive first, so it's nice and thin and drains well. For the 2.2, as access is easy it can be really hot to drain. Unlike the 3.2 where the filter is right next to the exhaust ::)

Cheers for that :y
Will take the old girl for a spin first :y
Will see if my cleaning of the Throttle body worked as was pig rough for first minute - would not hold constant rpm and would just die. :'(
Had to start a few times for her to be stable and not die on my. Was fine and never missed a beat then :y
I know somebody with a ODB (I think) code reader so wondered if it would work with the 2.2 FL ? (W plate) (I understand that it would not work on my MFL V6 >:()
