Hi guys
How you all doing?
Just about to do a gunk flush on the cooling system and was wondering if the expansion tank is separable?
Can I split it into two parts to get a really good clean as it's pretty oily inside? (Yes I've changed the oiler cooler)
Dont have a dishwasher too as I've seen somewhere here that you can put it in one of those too.
Looking for a speedy answer as I'm intending to do it today later.
Cheers
Have an awesome day.

I've tried a few different things but never managed to get it really clean, I don't have a dishwasher either so I haven't tried that. I ended up getting one from someone on here as I couldn't see me getting it as clean as I would have liked.

You could try blocking the holes, fill it with boiling water and use a dishwasher tablet. Shake it around a lot. Rinse VERY well afterwards as epsom salts don't tend to get on with alloy.

Filled mine up with hot water, dissolved dishwasher tablet and rice shook it all around and it scoured it out pretty well.

Nothing beats a new washer bottle, well worth the £35 :y

If it goes anything like the way of the Vectra, they won't be available new for much longer.
