Driving to airport it developed a squeal from OSR wheel. Stopped at services, and wheel was quite warm, all others cold.
Noise was a bit like brake squeal.
Sticky caliper or wheel bearing?
-
After stopping at services, never heard noise again, but then only did another 10 miles or so to airport, where its now abandonned

Could be bearing, could be brakes. I have experienced a bearing that squeals when hot but more likely to be a dragging brake.

I agree, either a sticky caliper or pads rusted in.

Does a Battlebus need rewind tool, as my caliper spreader is just a spreader?
-
Fairly certain it's the same as Omega... Shoes in drum for handbrake, caliber and disc for footbrake. If so, no ;)
Only really need wind back tool when handbrake operates on caliper :y

Wind back tool required on Zaf A

Oh cobblers, I shall have to make a purchase on my return to Blighty.

You can borrow my set when you get back if you like, TB?
I'd imagine the pads will show signs of heat stress with discolouration. Drive it, then come back and take a temp reading of the brakes with digital thermometer. That will show if theyre overheating due to sticking caliper or pads rusted in.
Though prob just stripping the brakes down will reveal the answer more thanlikelywhen you go to wind that piston in

My first Vec C did exactly the same thing... Took over a week of back and forth with the dealer to diagnose, but finally confirmed as a 'dangle berries'ed bearing...
