Serious question.
I'm a white, UK Citizen born & Resident here. My question is, if I decided to convert to the Muslim faith could I legally in UK Law take multiple wives as that faith allows :-\

Not Legal - And anyway, one wife is far too many! ;D
Even Mulsim's who have legal Polygamous marriages conducted abroad are not recognised for pensions, immigration or citizenship purposes.

Why would you take more than one wife? That means a numerous number of mother in laws :o :o :D :D

Good God chaps, I don't mean me!!! :o
I've recently come into brief contact with a new (not so near, thank goodness!) local resident, who is a Muslim Convert. He has three wives, two children by No.1, one each by the two others, all Sudanese Immigrants who arrived here in 2013 with parts of their extended families . All claim Benefits , he claims they pay no Council Tax, get Housing Benefit, DLA for one wife and himself, wives No. 2 & 3 claim Carers Allowance for each of them respectively, and Attendance Allowance for one M.I.L., plus a Motability Zafira car! To cap it all they live in a rent free 4 bed Semi and the Local Authority Landlord is adapting the adjoining house to make an 8 bedroomed property for them!
This B******d is openly boasting that the local Muslim Elders & Imam can, I quote: 'pull strings & run rings' around the local Labour run Authorities and they fall over backwards to accommodate them and that this is their 'Reward' for following 'the only true and Righteous teaching of Islam! >:( >:(
Now I dare say he is 'Gilding the Lily' to a certain extent for 'effect', and he is certainly a sad sack and a poor physical specimen of his kind, but if even half of it is the truth it is a bloody disgrace! We have enough of our own lowlife to look after without any more coming here and going straight to 'Easy Street'. >:(
To my mind, it reinforces the view that we need to close our Borders to all but vetted Immigrants until the current situation is resolved and a system that works properly for the good of the Country is in place. Rant Over! ;D

If you are going to have immigration then it is best to have a system similar to Australia where it is a points based filter. That way if you have skills that we need and useful to our society we will consider you, if not, then the answer is no. :y :y :y
Unfortunately, under the last Liebour government with Peter Mandelson admitting they scoured the world for all and sundry, to Gerrymander future elections knowing the lower the education level of those invited to our shores, the more they would be Liebour clients and Liebour voters. Hence large numbers from Africa and the poorer parts of Asia. :(
It was the same that the UK through Liebour was the only Western EU country that didn't make any use of the EU opt-outs to delay people from Eastern Europe, although, fortunately, on the whole they have been more beneficial with their higher skill levels and mostly hard working ethic. But they have driven down wages for the skilled and semi-skilled here, where many look at the UK as a place to work on a much higher than back home minimum wage, living in a shared house to minimise costs, so they can send as much money as possible, back home.
Now they are all here and have totally changed English society, I'm afraid there is no turning the clock back.
It is inevitable that the UK along with all of Western Europe are going to be majority Muslim countries between the 2020's and the 2050's and judging by the intolerance to any other ways of life and ethnic cleaning of all other religions that has happened in the Middle East since WWII then you will have to hope that the majority are reasonably benign, because if not you will have three choices, convert to Islam, leave Europe for one of the few remaining countries where more tolerant religions are still a majority or accept your free orange romper suit and fate as an infidel. :( :( :(
There are five main things that seem to attract the immigrants in Calais to the UK:
1. We are English speaking and it is the global second language.
2. They are more likely to be able to get a job here rather than in high unemployment Europe.
3. No Identity cards means it is much easier to disappear, if they are an illegal.
4. They already have relatives here.
5. Our benefits system.
The fact that number two is getting a job and number five is our benefits system, hopefully means that the majority will want and get employment once they are here for good. Because most will have come from unstable, dangerous countries it is unlikely under UN / EU rules that they will ever be required to go back, hence the risk all to get here attitude.

It is very common within the ethnic community, playing the system, and if anybody complains or tries to deduct benifits or change there standards the claim racial harassment,so council-benifits back down, and probably find eldest son is using mobility car for taxi at night, and courier during day.
