Yet another one of these expensive items has impacted the wall. :-\
Requirements are as follows.
Fast processor.
15 inch screen.
Windows 8.1
Long battery life. Six hours or more.
Plenty of RAM.
Most importantly 'she' ( the crazed laptop hurler) needs a powerful graphics card that is preferably not shared.
£400 maximum spend as most of them don't last long enough to be 'out of warranty'.
I'm not happy about this. :(

Based on experience of just about every laptop make Ive had, think these days I would go with some form of Samsung.

That was my first thought!! :D ;D

No comments about the infamous sister this time.
I merely mentioned that her friend looked 'very feminine' in her summer dress. It all escalated from there. :-\

Does Lady Opti have latin blood? She sounds quite volatile to me! :o
Still volatile women are usually very passionate as well!! :y Sounds like you need to direct all that passion to the right places! ;D ;D ;D

Anyway, enough of my marital problems. ::) Laptop information chaps. :y
-
How about a Dell Latitude 14 Extreme Opti, built especially for the more er........ heavy handed user?
Or a Panasonic Toughbook? supposedly very rugged!
Or the Amrell ROCKY RT (never heard of this one) it doesn't tick all your boxes but should survive the odd marital disagreement? ;D :y
-
As it probably won't survive a year I'd suggest something along these (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Toshiba-Satellite-C50-AMD-E-Series-1-33GHz-Dual-Core-15-6-Inch-500GB-4GB-Laptop/171841564944?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D32767%26meid%3D09f5177f65874d7d8208337c5b1a3d91%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D4%26rkt%3D6%26mehot%3Dpp%26sd%3D151458961132) lines. :y Then you have some extra cash to invest in anger management classes! ::) ;D

If the laptop ends up too substantial, next time she throws it, it will, instead, demolish his conservato.... Oh., hang on. :-[
;)

Tell her to buy a new laptop, as she broke it by throwing it across the room.

There will be nothing left of that MV6 money at this rate :o
Anyway.... I have had a Toshiba Satellite P750 for a few years now.. It came with windows 7 when new so its got to be a few years. It's my 2nd Toshiba in 7 years give or take.
Some of the main features...
15.4in, 1366 x 768, 8GB DDR3 RAM, Blu-ray drive, 640gb HDD, Quad-core Core i7-2630QM, USB 3.0, Bluetooth 3.0, Nvidia GeForce graphics, Harman/Kardon speakers,
Granted it was in the £900 region i remember that much! But saying that it still works so its been a sound investment. Running Win10 fine also.
Basically what i'm saying is i'd recommend Toshiba :)

Hullo tosh geta Toshiba.
Couldn't resist :D

I'll second the Toshiba :y
I've been using a big 17" screen Satellite for 8 years now.
Its been dropped off the roof of my car and generally smacked around since new.
Other then a blue screen problem which was sorted by a good clean and a couple of RAM boards and a replacement battery, its been fickin fantastic :y :y

My last Tosh failed to survive the fall from a sunroof to the ground....
...but not much would except the hardened laptops from the likes of Panasonic.

But hide the knives and scissors first as it will be cheaper on the wardrobe. ;D ;D ;D

laydee opti, knows if she smashes it, you will replace out of guilt, the layder needs to be told "no" or would a new model be cheaper to run :D, like a sister, isn't Kate looking for a residence ;D
