Title: intermitant not starting and cut out whilst Driving
Post by: Dan282 on 07 August 2015, 10:15:57
After stopping briefly to go shops my car wouldn't start. It turned over but refused to fire up. I left it for about 30 mins and then it started up fine.

Now today I was driving about 40mph and the engine died on me. I managed to coast to a safe place. I tried to start her but she wouldn't have it. Left it 20 mins then it started fine.

Could this be a crank sensor issue?

Yes. Definitely
Buy two genuine sensors. Fit one and keep a spare in the boot..

Cheers guys! Am I right in thinking that a genuine crank sensor is the way to go.

Crank Sensor  :y, assuming your not getting immobiliser fault indicator on trying to start.
