Title: LPG Kit Suppliers
Post by: VXL V6 on 08 August 2015, 18:26:45
Who is the best supplier of the Stag 300 kits now? As I understand it, Telio has gone out of favour with OOF a little?

Want to make sure I'm not paying too much for the kit as I've found a couple of suppliers but really don't know how much these kits should be retailing for.

£325 seems consistent, but budget for vaporiser upgrade and shop around for the injectors you want as they vary from kit to kit... :y

To give you some idea, I paid around £550 in 2010 for everything for the 3.0l, this was a multivalve tank with a high flow valve, and just shy of £600 in 2011 for everything for the 3.2l which had a 4 hole tank.

Prices do not include keeping Mr Gixer, Mr Lazycripple and Mr Wood in curry and beer ;D

My 'everything' total was about £850 in 2012, including a four hole donut tank and all the fittings I was ever likely to need...

The front end kit came from Ireland and the rest from Tinley Tech, who lets face it, aren't exactly known for their bargain prices... customer service is beyond reproach though :y

Yours was for the estate? So would be about £100 more due to the wanky tanks you need.

Thanks all, got some small jobs to finish off on the car which Daz is going to do and I need to fit two lambdas to the bosses fitted in the exhaust and i think I'm ready to start the install in stages.

Would be nice to have the replacement bumper to fit when the LPG ECU is fitted but looks like I'll just have to buy another one.

I've crunched numbers a few times, looking at around £1k I think for everything all in.

Plus beers and currys ect, as if I lost 2.2 gassing 3.2 would be a serious option.

Time is main issue now, seen a few places will do it for £1.5k fitted.

Not sure if their prices include VAT. But prices are good:

Would you trust any mongrels to fit a half-arsed system?

2 weekends work, with the right people assisting ;)

Trouble is finding those weekends. Then ensuring you have all bits, so no days wasted.

Doesn't have to be consecutive weekends.  The bits, well, you should know whats needed now.

Fixed for relevance, but rest of kit suggested would be ideal... unused toroidal tank would cover the cost of the cylinder one and included all the plumbing and clips etc required, so only 'extra' would be a tank of choice :y

Sorry, I drifted away from this thread and started having a PM conversation.

Looks like a plan may be forming.  :y

I'll be in touch soon, once I've picked the kit up and I get a spare weekend i'll be installing the kit on the lounge floor to get my head around things, Mrs VXL V6 will be ecstatic.
