Title: oil change

having just given an old 1.6 mk1 Renault scenic a service I used a 10w. 40 gm oil ( have used before in this vehicle & it kept remarkably clean.)  I was approx. 1/2 litre short, would it be ok to top up using 10w 50.

Should be okay for a top up but I wouldn't make a habit of it  :)
