My Catalytic Converter is rusted out and will need replacing sooner than later.
I got in touch with a company that specialize in original Vauxhall parts and they quoted just over £1000 for the original GM cat.
I was told that they can get an equivalent made by BM Catalysts for £205 + £7.50 delivery and they are made to the same standard and quality that Vauxhall use.
Has anyone heard of BM Catalysts and are they that good?

The Cat or the flexi between cat & exhaust??

The exhaust pipe around the cat when the new flexi got welded was so rusted he barely had enough metal to weld to. Said I might get 18 months out of it and 12 months in its starting to blow again. The cat pipe section is rotted Rob.
Did just find the same BM Catalysts cat for £125 at Buypartsby under Part Number: BM90794H. If there cats are any good.

Best bet would be a cat from a breaker on here rather than a cheap aftermarket, that will be poor quality and last no time at all.
Normally several being broken for parts, post up in the wanted section and see what you get.

As above, try and get one from a breaker :y

I was hoping against hope that BM Catalysts who make there own cats to a very high standard. Were actually made to the same standard and quality that Vauxhall use. That's what I was told by HS Components who specialize in hunting down original Vauxhall parts.
I will keep an eye open for a second hand original one.
Thanks all for your advice. :y
