To be fair, that picture shows little of the detail... The aircraft is actually a very light grey, the feathers are a combination of decals and paint, and have white highlights and the gold actually uses glass rather than metalflake...

Will take a better picture as and when I get a chance ;)

The wings and main fuselage are supposed to resemble an Eagle (if I'm correct) and whilst I get that, I had to look quite hard to see it.  The vertical looks like a standard BA livery that has faded over 20 years.

Sorry, but that doesn't make me happy (and I love commercial aircraft livery).

That said.... for their design to be used by BA is a fantastic achievement.  My opinion counts just as much as the next bloke, but the people who really matter to the designer have spoken!  :y

It's actually meant to be a dove.???

First time I saw it, I thought eagle too ::)

Apparently it's considerably dumbed down from the original design but nevertheless, quite an achievement to get the chance to do it... Think what you will of the livery, I simply found it nice to meet the chap who designed it, and only by chance... He was travelling with his nan and quite by chance the aircraft taxied onto stand just as we were crossing the bridge. Five minutes earlier and they would simply have been any other passenger and I wouldn't have given it a second thought ;)

Definitely a great achievement.  I wonder if he is happy with it though - An artist likes their art to be THEIR art. Not dumbed down by cost saving measures (or possibly by the simple fact the design wasn't possible on the aircarft).

Meh - Either way, HIS design is on THAT aircraft.  I'd be a pig in shit, me.  :y
