The hoses are starting to bulge and split.
The ones on the car are marked GM 12805659 and GM 12804553.
The new hoses are marked GM 12842477 and GM 12842478. They look different to the originals and I keep reading something about a change in design due to faulty design.
I'm confused enough as it is. ;D

Nah.....I love the anxiety that comes with a new car. ;)
I'm thinking of buying an Astra next. A green one. :)

I used to laugh at girlies choosing their car because of the colour. It seems there are a few
poofs emasculated omega owners knocking about too. ;D

I assumed that you bought your Astra because of the colour rather than inspite of the colour. :-\

Getting back on topic, the new ones I fitted on my car have the above part numbers printed on them, so they are the correct ones

Phil, my understanding is that the new hoses fit the revised coolant tank and are not the same as the hoses used for the previous tank.
I still have the old tank........which is not leaking as of yet. :y

Fairly sure the pipes are the same.
Think I swapped the pipes over a couple of days before changing the expansion tank and there were no issues.
They are an odd pipe in as much that the old ones tapered where they were connected to a smaller ID think the new ones are a more uniform diameter
