Post by: EMD on 25 August 2015, 15:01:14
This is my first attempt at making something with the arc welder , ok the welds are not great yet but im getting the hang of it  :) Need some wheels for this welding trolley , ill add a top tray and a hook for the handle and wires  :y Just making use of the off cuts i have so its all made from short pieces .

Thanks mr opti  :) I was quite amazed at how it turned out . One thing im not sure about is how far down to let the rod burn to  :-\ Being an old skinflint i try and get as much out of an arc rod as possible  ;D , but the nearer the end it starts playing up and sticking . Its quite satisfying building steel things  :)

Quite pleased at the results , its something to look back on as a first build . I would recommend having a go but its one of those things you have to keep at it to perfect , anyone with an omega will have no trouble  :D ;D
