Thanks mr opti :) I was quite amazed at how it turned out . One thing im not sure about is how far down to let the rod burn to :-\ Being an old skinflint i try and get as much out of an arc rod as possible ;D , but the nearer the end it starts playing up and sticking . Its quite satisfying building steel things :)

Well i thought i would give it a go . Ive learnt to check that my apron is covering my legs properly after getting a few bobbles of weld splatter burn through my jeans :o

I now understand why people wear a baseball cap on backwards ::) I burnt my hair while welding the last few bits :( Need a baseball cap now but not wearing it at jaunty angle while driving the car ::)
Guess im lucky i have some hair to burn :P

Quite pleased at the results , its something to look back on as a first build . I would recommend having a go but its one of those things you have to keep at it to perfect , anyone with an omega will have no trouble :D ;D
