Title: This gets right up my nose.
Post by: STEMO on 26 August 2015, 10:49:31
My wife doesn't understand why and, to be honest, neither do I. But it does:

Sky news are doing a series of reports this morning on early years childcare. Apparently the money the government gives providers (£3.88ph) nowhere near covers the costs.
Now..we have two women, probably 'experts', pontificating on the subject, telling us the ins and outs of what constitutes good and bad. They are both American! Why? Do we not have any experts in the field ourselves? What right do they have to judge our system? Is theirs so good?

I FICKIN THINK NOT! Grrrrrrrrrr.

WOW!!! Do you have many children in childcare?

We always get americans to give advice, that way they think there important and it keeps them sweet.

We had a thread a few days ago about the lack of Patriotism in Britain or put another way their willingness to embrace people and their cultures from all around the world. It comes as no suprise to me that non Brits are employed in the media. I bet you couldn't find ONE in Spain or France.

These were not media people, El Varche, they were people employed by some childcare members group or other. You know, the ones that speak for everyone else.

Turn TV off and read the news online. :y :y :y

There you go a revolutionary idea solved the problem in 8 words. ;D ;D ;D

TV is a linear medium, so you have to go from start to end, put up with all the tosh, to see the odd item that might be of interest. Reading in non linear, you pick and choose only those of interest and you get to choose you own order of importance. You also don't go at the TV presenter's pace but your own when reading. :y :y :y

Reading also exercises the brain and stops you turning into a cabbage. :-X ;D
