Title: Computer help please

Hello I have a friend who is having an issue with her PC I don't know what the system is or anything like that
The problem she is having is she is using word10 and when she is saving the document it is saving it as word pad could anyone tell me in simple terms how to sort this out please
My dog is more computer literate than me  ::)

Assuming win10 has recognised a valid Office on the machine, if theres one, then you need to set Word as the default for Docs, otherwise it will use WordPad or a n other.

In "save as", set type to docx

I assume by Word 10 you mean Word 2002?
