Title: MOT computerisation
Post by: omega2018 on 28 August 2015, 02:05:25
anyone know if MOT stations can see recent (days or months) test results when they do an MOT?  reason i ask is years back if one mot place failed a car, once or twice another (fairer :)) place would not, in my experience. especially used to happen where the first garage offered repairs and the second only did MOTs, for some reason....

now though, do they just log in and see what the previous mot place failed it on the day before and do the same?

Fairly sure they can, if they can be bothered, the way I see it is you book your car in for an mot, pays your money and get an mot test.  ;)

I think so. Simple lesson... Don't just go to any old place, get your MOT done at a trusted test station :y

Also..I think....any potential buyer can see the MOT history online, so would see any fail.

Lots of emission fails if the tester does not bother getting the old miggy up to temp :D but not a problem if the tester knows the mark :)
