Summer ? .... summer ?? .... I seem to remember those from my childhood - in the long and distant past  :-[

We don't get summers anymore -- just brief glimpses of what they should be

Watch that Jalfrezi .. I remember when with Securicor I was on a static site about two miles across ----- on nights there was just the one toilet in the office block --- guess where I was when my snack had worked it's way through and wanted out -- like NOW !!!!!!!  Had to run all the way to the office block -- then fight through dozens of keys in a panic to get the door unlocked --- made it with milliseconds to spare !!!!

I remember the big winter snow falls of the 70's.  Started work in 77 and had to try and get through/round or accross 12 foot snow drifts.

Was fun then at 16/17   not anymore though. :-/

Two old ladies were sitting in a bar having a few drinks when a Scottsman walked in wearing a kilt. Having had several totties the ladies were feeling rather bold. One said to the other "I dare you to ask him what's under his kilt". Never one to back down from a dare, the old lady marched up to the Scottsman and said "my friend dared me to come and ask you what's under your kilt". The Scottsman replied "och, lassie, I'd show ye, but are ye sure ye can handle it?". To which she replied "Young man, I'm old, I've seen some things in my time. Nothing surprises me anymore". So the Scottsman said, "I'll tell ye what... you bring your friend over here and I'll show ye!".

The two ladies gathered around the Scottsman and he lifted up his kilt to show them what was underneath.

"oooooh! look at that!" said one of them.... "It's grusome!"

To which the Scottsmand replied..............

"Look again, lassie.... It's gru-some more!"

Blame the bloody Jet stream it's settled 700 miles south of where it should be at this time of year, and that's why were getting all these low pressure areas crossing the country instead of tracking across the north sea half way to Iceland., >:( >:( >:(

With all this rain around the water boards in the South East of England had better not start suggesting we are short of water and rationing is to start!  You never know with those over paid, inefficient, short sighted, so-called, "managers", merchant bankers of our water system!  ;D ;)

I reckon Ireland, in the absence of Northern to Southern England "water grid" pipes  should start exporting water to the South of England like it does Guinness!  A pipe across the Irish Sea is all it would take!  ;)  Indeed to help pay for it there could be two pipes in one; water AND Guinness could be pumped across at the same time! ;D ;)   Anyone interested in contributing to this project? ;D ;)

Was in Farnborough today (doing my wishbones, as you do). It was raining - sweatshirt on, sunny - sweatshirt off, raining - sweatshirt on.....

Have to say that there was nothing up in the sky but blue sky and black clouds. Most unusual the Saturday before airshow week - peraps we should ask the Beeb if that is also due to global warming :)
