This is bound to be controversial as there are a few here who slag ebay off at every opportunity. ::) However I think it's great and has solved 2 problems for me in the last week. :y
1) I stripped the sump plug on my car. >:( A quick search on ebay and I found a sump pan locally, went and picked it up next day and fitted it later. Problem solved. :y
2) My boiler broke down. >:( The fan was kaput, but again a quick search of ebay and I had a reconditioned fan arrive the next day. Problem solved. :y
Pre ebay days, both issues would have meant ages with a copy of Yellow Pages or Thompsons phoning round scrappies and spare parts suppliers. Now with ebay it's quick easy and convenient! :y
They say things come in three's. ::) What's next I wonder? :-\

I'm held together with them. It would only take one piece of Velcro to let go and there would be bits of me all over the show. ;D

Make sure you wear them the right way round.
With the demise of C&A, who always had helpful labels in their underpants (C**k and A**e - similar for women), you now have to fall back on the old method of brown at the back, yellow at the front..............

I agree. When trying to spec components for making, modifying and repairing things, then online datasheets and online sales save loads of time. :y :y :y
Like all shopping, you just have to be careful from who you buy things from. ???

not so easy if you rotate them. front to back then inside out then back to front again. get 4 weeks wear out of a pair that way....

I agree, "migmog", but it's always wise to check that they are still not too far gone. Best method I find is to throw them at the wall. If they slide down, however slowly, they are good for another week at least, but if they stick and refuse to move - best to change them!

I tought your average pensioner only changed them after they had to cut the last pair off. :o :o :o :o

This is my kinda thread ;D

just wait a few days then they will fall and you can de-crust them and start again
