Has anyone else on the forum just completed the 1st year, or any other, at university and received their results in the post?
Not boasting of course ::) ::) but I have and passed all six modules at an average 65% overall, with them ranging from a low of 60 to a high of 70. I have therefore gained the 120 credits necessary for onward progression to the second year of my degree course in History with Politics. It will be bloody hard, but I can't wait to start!
I am well chuffed! 8-) 8-)
I hope others in the same position are also as pleased! :y
These are the best years of my life me thinks! ;D ;D

Well done Lizzie, congrats! :y
-
Congrats! I only had to pass my first year so did just that and spent the rest of the time partying my arse off!
So just think in September you can take advantage of all those young men in the Freshers Week! I remember all the fun I had with various ladies! ::) ::) ::) ::)
Oh to be single and a student again! ;D ;D ;D ;D
-
Congratulations - very well done - you're on your way to a First or 2.1 with that sort of score. :y
Where are you studying? Full time or part time?

Thanks Gaffers! Don't think I won't be tempted Gaffers! ;D ;D The trouble is I am old enough to be their mother! :'( :'( :'( Although there is a number of young men I already get on extremely well with, it is like with the girls, they just want me for motherly advice! ;D ;D ;)

:y Smashing news Lizzie.....well done that woman! ;)

i passed my final year of uni this time last year, its hard work but worth it, Uni is the key to well paid jobs.
My advice, do a placement year! Experiance will help you get the job, final year project seals it.
Thats what did it for me, they interviewed about 6 people, because my final year project was a mobile application, it got me my job in mobile ;)
-
Congrats :y

Thanks Jereboam! It maybe a bit early for me to think I can achieve a First or 2:1, but that is certainly what I am aiming for!
I am studying full time at Canterbury Christ Church University, which although smaller than Canterbury Kent University I find gives me all I require including a lovely feeling of belonging! :y

Thanks Tunnie, and congrats for last year's wonderful achievement. :y
I take note of what you mean about work experience, and to that end I am already involved in volunteer 'work' within the NHS and Kent Police on various projects. I am hoping this should help me, as you rightly suggest, in securing a placement after my final year. :y

Well done Lizzie, congrats! :y
Thanks LJay! :y

Thanks Albitz! World political domination is certainly one aim! ;D ;D, But, there again so are the smaller ambitions of improving both the NHS managerial structure; by improving it's efficiency and patient focus by cutting managers / increasing medical staff; and giving the Police what they really need to provide every man, woman and child with a security service they can fully rely on for protection within a legal system that provides common sense not stupidity. :y :y :y

Well done Lizzie :y :y :y :y.
Rachel's not long started a course at Uni to be a Psychiatric Nurse. She's just finished three years at College, she was at both for a while :'(
She's just broke up for a while now :) :) :) :) :) YES

It's not too early to think about about the degree division - if you don't start off well, you ain't ever gonna catch up!
I'm quite pleased with my youngest - he just notched up 67, 70, 71 and 76 in his first year exams. If he gets through the summer with being strangled by his father (and he's pushing his luck at the moment) he'll be well set up for the second year. He's going to do a placement year, but that's probably more valuable for Pharmacology than for History.
I had a girlfriend who went to the University of Kent. I visited her there once. Never saw her again. :(

Thanks Waspy!
All the best to Rachel in her psychiatric studies, a line of study I myself have touched on at college, and have greatly been involved with live on mental health wards, dealings with CPN's and psychiatrists during my 6 year involvement with the NHS. :y This is a great field to be involved in and it needs people like Rachel. ;)

That is the problem with that huge uni; I reckon a lot of people go in and disappear without trace especially if they are running away from something! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;)
