I've been putting off sorting the scruffy wheel arch for some time. Looking down the side of the car there are lots of little dents and other small damage, so it makes sense to paint the entire side. This will make the colour match less critical.
I would prefer to remove rather than mask stuff, so my questions are:
Is the trim under the rear side-window easy to remove, and if so how is it done?
How are the door mirror casings removed, as it would make sense to paint my good ones whilst doing this job. Mine are both damaged, and are stuck on.
The car is an estate, as well as in a state ;D

Mirror casings clip on, a bit more obvious once the glass is removed...
Rear window trim is part of the window assembly... Interior trim out, 14 10mm nuts and the whole thing lifts out. The upper trim is then simply unscrewed and lifted off the gutter. The front two sections can be removed once the doors are open.

Helps, yes. What I wanted to hear, no.
As this is likely to be done in several sessions, I'm not taking even more of the car apart, several times to avoid masking the rear window trim. I'm not planning on painting far up the rear pillar, so removing the gutter trim isn't important.
