Title: Optimal shock absorbers
Post by: Sir Tigger KC on 12 September 2015, 19:08:03
Any good?  ???  Very good price for these at Al's favourite sausage eating motor factors!  8)

https://www.atp-autoteile.de/group/1040100/product/8117/53332/details

Including postage it works out at £63.18 for a pair of front shock absorbers.  :y

This compares to:-

Bilstein B4 x2 = £107.10 (Demon-Tweeks)
Meyle x2 = £90.68 (All German)
KYB x2 = £176.42 (Local Factor)
MaxTrac x2 = £199.98 (Local Factor)

I'm just mulling at the moment.  ;)

Try AllGerman for the MaxTrac, they don't list them online but do sell them, at least for the rears.  :y

Der Sausage Eaters have today increased the price from 34.79 euros each  to 54.85 euros, bumping the price for a pair in sterling from £63.18 to £92.45!  :o  :(

I guess they've got a lot of refugees to feed.  :-X

Ah yes I did see the 'Best Price' shocks yesterday, but the Optimals were a lot cheaper then......  ::)  ;D

Somehow the brand 'Optimal' sounds more reassurring than 'Best Price'.  :-\  :y

Vx front shocks are £108 each inc VAT, so £216 for a pair.   ::)
