Title: £9.50 holidays in The Sun Newspaper.
Post by: theowletman on 13 July 2008, 17:55:36
For a quick, cheap 2nd holiday these sound good. Anybody been on one, I think they have done them for a few years now? Any feedback, good or bad would be welcome, thinking of the Brittany / Normandy area.

Actually, Sun readers aren't as bad as the Daily Mail would have you imagine.

I spent quite a few weeks in John Fowler establishments in Devon an Cornwall, all a result of a £10 Sun offer. You can take or leave the club house (I took it -  it was beer without driving and kids definately enjoyed it) - but if you do leave it, you are left with good quality accomodation as a base to make your own holiday.

Highly recommended.

Been on a few in my time. Not had a bad one yet. You have to pay a few extra quid for gas/electric and entertainment passes but usually no more than 25 quid all in.

Any holiday is what you make it, whether you spend 10 quid or a few hundred.

Can't argue with that. :)

I have actually found it cheaper to contact the park direct and book a holiday when I want it.
The sun holidays stiff you for extra's at virtually all parks.
The extra's are:

Club membership
Gas/electric
supplements for choosing a slightly different park
Some even charge extra to use the swimming pool.

Book direct it is much cheaper.

We seem to have members of OOF actually admitting to being sun reader. Surely in the name of all that's right and decent it would be best to keep this quiet......There is help out there.!!!!!!! :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*
