Title: passenger side front door dead lock

The front drivers side dead lock seems to be stuck on the 1998 elite , it can not be opened manually or by the fob or remote
 any body got any ideas , thanks

Mate of mine stuffed my door by locking and unlocking the car, whilst simultaneously pulling on the interior door handle. This precipitated the interior handle being stuck out, and the door closed and locked. Similar but different to your problem...

I wiggled and pulled on the handle whilst locking and unlocking the car, and after a few mins managed to get the door pin up. In your case it might be getting someone to pull on the pin, if the solenoid has packed up... of course the door card needs to be off in order to get at the locking mechanism... and you need the door open to get the door card off. Replacing or repairing the lock isn't a bad job at all.

Or... check how rare your door card is.. because option 2 is to tear your door card to shreds and replace the door card at a later date.
