Title: Omega Undertray?
Post by: P6UL K on 27 September 2015, 13:32:22
Is anyone aware if the Omega came with an under tray that went from the base of the front bumper and along under the car?

Was underneath the other day and noticed that there are fixings on the underneath of the subframe.

Are they still avaliable?

Petrol ones are only short, from rear of bumper to front of engine but diesel ones are much longer

Are the diesels the same across the range?

They make a noticeable difference to engine cooling too.

As above, on pfl without under-tray and front splitter they lose 1-2mpg.
Want undertray for the 3.2.

Just noticed there isn't one on the 3.2 presumably someone at some point didn't put it back on  :-\... Question, Would a undertray from a 2.2 petrol fit a 3.2?

Possibly...

iirc that the sumps are broadly similar in size, so no reason why not ;)

Ideally that is exactly what I need, my ex-plod Omega never came with an under tray especially a metal one so I'm trying to get hold of a plastic one and then I was going to make up my own out of metal using the plastic one as a template

With all the ex-plod cars, I've owned, never got lucky with a sump guard, always been taken or'ff,before auction by plod.

Oh dear. He's having issues with operating a mobile phone, it would appear. Sorry Paul, I'll get onto him again. Apologies. This is what happens when you ask people to do things. They invariably don't!  :)
