The Low coolant warning has come up on the display, water level still at maximum.
I guess the sensor in the header tank has failed, anyone any idea how much one of those is?
-
Around £35-40 for a new tank

Isn't the sensor available alone?
-
Not as a new part only part of the tank
-
Need one for mine as it's recently failed a second time... might get a shiny one for the black one and swap that one into the white one...
Or I could drive a tank over both of them... that would sort both of them :-X

Go for a new tank, they smarten up the engine bay considerably :y

Just phoned my local Vauxhall Dealership to order a new coolant expansion tank and was told £49.38. I forgot to ask if that included vat.
-
Jeez that's expensive.. Should be about £35
-
Could be worth giving Autovaux a try

It was £35+vat some years ago, so £49 would not surprise me.

Fair price, and more than 10 available. :y
I don't do eBay so that counts me out on that one.
Manufacturers RRP £49.38 inc VAT
At least I know the GM price includes vat now. :y
