Title: Autobox price update
Post by: Diamond Black Geezer on 29 September 2015, 10:54:21
Got the larger gasket on order from the every helpful Keith at ABS, however, just for future reference here's the prices I got from Vauxhall

£56 for 20 liters Trade of the oil, or £8-odd for one litre  ;D

Smaller gasket 96014235 - £8.45
Larger gasket 96014234 - £14.95

Down from about £35-40 I'd say at regular retail for the pair, so bargains there to be had. Should you be in the market for some and get quoted higher, also feel free to demand 'my mate came in here last week and bought some at that price' etc etc.  :)

PS, yes, I know I could buy a tube of the sealant, negating the need for gaskets. I'm old-fashioned, I put the 'git' in 'gasket'  8)

The alternative supplier for the AR tranny is JPAT down in the west country, gaskets and filters are very reasonable compared to my local VX dealer. Who charged me £94.00 for a filter on my old 2.0 about 10 years ago...God knows what they'd charge now for the same item ::)

Thanks for that DBG I'll be changing the auto fluid in mine in the next coming weeks before hooning around a racetrack on the 10th :)

I'll also be changing all fluids too, including brake fluid etc...
