Title: Why no variable wiper delay?
Post by: Bigron on 03 October 2015, 23:10:42
My first Omega, a GL spec, had a variable wiper delay potentiometer on the stalk. I now have a CDX spec. Omega, surely a higher level of features, but with only one fixed wiper delay.
Why?

Ron.

It does seem odd to leave it off,  option maybe :-\
I fitted a VW "99" learning relay as advised by Kevin W  :y

Yes, I did read that and tried to get one from my local VW breakers, but no luck. Are you saying that it might have been an extra-cost option on the GL? There wasn't anything else posh on it!

Could be that odd age like mine, where no variable wiper, just before rain sensing brought in.

I got a VW learning relay off eBay for a couple of quid, works well. But I do prefer variable wiper on my 2.2.

Does your Elite have rain sensing wipers then? My 2001/Y had variable wipers but my MV6 did not
