This question relates to my, nearly 180,000 mile DTi Omega Estate
It's always done this - for the approx. 20,000 miles I have owned her
It stopped for a bit, but has recently come back.
Basically - if you're driving, at, for example, 40mph in 4th gear. Or 60mph in 5th gear. You hit the gas to increase speed for a few moments, say, overtaking a cyclist. About a second or two after you ease off... the engine VERY briefly seems to judder the car, and then continues as normal.
No fault codes. It doesn't cause a serious problem. On a 70 mile cross country trip, it may do it three or four noticible times
The car always starts on the button (as well as a DTi with that mileage can be expected) and returns reasonable economy balanced with how I drive it!
No fault codes stored. I'm thinking maybe dirty EGR?
I am not at all worried about this. I trust the car more than I have any other car I've owned, apart from maybe my old Pug 405 "style D" which was on a par!!!

Suddenly lifting off probably overfuels it knocking the air/fuel ratio out... the judder has two causes... 1. the ecu adjusting fueling to match the airflow, 2. being in gear, clutch up, imposes a fair bit of load on the crank with the engine essentially 'off' for an instant :y
