Title: 'Secret' car tricks...
Post by: Diamond Black Geezer on 07 October 2015, 15:14:43
Viewing a pretty interesting thread, where the Omega gets a mention (fold flat front passenger seat) and there was mention of various tricks as away of seeing extra menus/data on the MID/GID of the Corsa, Vectra, etc. Does anyone know of any way of bringing up any such 'secret' data on the Omega? I presume it's a Tech2-only job.  :-\

Mention of a special boost feature on the Lotus Carlton, which gets you 408bhp for 10 seconds. Jesus!

In the dim and distant past, I remember something on here that gave you access to build date and stuff.

On the Facelift there's an extra button near the cup holder on the centre console arm rest which moves the arm rest up and down by massive amounts to increase Driver / Passenger driving experience.  ::)

Personally i prefer the lower position out of the two options on the arm rest it makes less noises that way anyway  ;D

Not Omegas but  When we were kids, my uncle used to take us out in his half timbered Morris a thousand and suddenly speed up and go out a fair lick clutching at the steering wheel. Why? it was the electric road. Had us enthralled but my parents were horrified as he was as blind as a bat.

My brother had a Capri with a switch marked do not touch. The front seat passenger inevitably got curious and tried it only to find it was rigged to a powerful washer pump directed at the passengers groin. Aw gawd what have I done. ::)
