Anyone had any fencing done in the Surrey area recently? Done Google/Check-a-trade ect, but wondering if any one here has had work done recently they were happy with?
Thanks :y

Had a fence replaced by an outfit in Yately recently. Yarely fencing iirc. Turned up as arranged and did a decent job.
Will dig out details later. Currently travelling.

Not that tricky to do yourself. Extended mine 16' up the side of the house including gate and was only 8mm out on one of the posts. Took 1 weekend.

Only thing I can add to this is don't scrimp on the panels :y
PS lattice panels don't blow away in storms... :D

The quotes I've got so far, does make me want to do it myself. Hummm fancy a job as a supervisor, payment with beer tokens? If I went DIY? :D
The ground is a shit to dig though, full of rubble :(

The builders of our Estate used the thinnest panels known to man, I've seen A4 paper that's been thicker ;D

Yes but it was just two fence panels and a gate. I've done fencing before though using posts and postcrete etc.

i used my sds drill with the chisel attachment to get through the tqrmac and then to loosen the made ground underneath.
Made it easy work.
If you need a hand let me know :y

Used mine to dig-out a flag pole base at the Welland Steam Rally when others had failed miserably.
18" hole sorted in around 20 minutes! :o

You are probably looking at about £80-£90 per panel fitted for concrete posts and gravel boards, which is probably a good plan.

Thanks Chaps m
Seth that looks like it could do the job :) :y

How many posts/panels ? if it it's a few ....then the guys that do our stuff charge £150 a day :-\ they put up 14metre long step over fence which needed 9x 60cm post holes which had to be dug with a Kango hammer, because of the same situation similar to your own. They are based in Wo kingham and I'm sure they would give you a quote if you don't fancy the grief.Made a pukka job but as stated in an earlier post I had to take it down two weeks later.....although the planning dept had approved it. The fence was cheaper than our solicitors bills @£120 per hour!! ::)

Very cheap! Did you buy the pannels?
First quote I've had is £1.2k, I'm only looking for 5 or 6 pannels tops. Around 40 feet :-\

I didn't pay much more than that for a 16 panel fence with concrete posts and gravel boards.

I believe so. I contacted them by tapping them on the shoulder and asking if they'd pop round and do a quote while they were doing a fence at the house opposite, so I didn't need any details.
I'll see if I've got anything else at home, but I believe that's them. :y
