So . if I have a cd playing for a while and try to change to another one. it spits the CD out and says CD ERROR.
After about 10 miles of arguing with it it will then work ok. Only seems to happen when its hot. occasionally I get the symptoms of a scratched CD although I know there ok.
Dirty lense maybe?
Anyone has these problems before? :-[

Has been said many times with this problem....are you using 'pukker' CD's or self recorded. It seems that these units will go doo-lally with self recorded stuff. Mine did !!!
Not saying this is your problem but it can contribute eventually :y
If it ends up that the unit requires professional attention, look for Davednd on here :y
Hope this helps :y

When/if the laser plays up on a CDR2005, time to chuck it in the bin. TBH they`re not worth repairing

About £75 (ish)

Yea, I'm with Rob on this one, whilst I don't want to be doing anyone out of a repair job, there just not worth repairing, plus I'd go as far as saying there pretty crap HU's anyway.
If you want to retain the Omega FL Centre Consul look then pick up a working 2006 to fill the slot, if you've got a Computer Display (MID) then this will still work without the 2005, 2006 HU's in there, unlike other models, so that gives you the option of fitting an aftermarket HU in there if you so wish.

Thanks lads.
