Title: F/S - Genuine GM V6 Oil cooler & plate, nuts, seals, grey sealant & other seals
Post by: geoffr70 on 15 October 2015, 17:03:45
Genuine GM V6 oil cooler and plate with nuts and O-rings. Also included is the grey sealant and other parts as listed:

13101668 - Oil Cooler with associated nuts and seals
90501955 - Oil Cooler Plate
93165267 - Grey Sealant 80ml
12992647 - Oil Cooler Bridge Seal (4)
90409175 - O-ring Between Oil Cooler and Plate (5)
90500983 - Breather Bridge to Throttle Seal (20)
90467543 - Breather Bridge to Plenum Seal (6)
9129999 - Coolant Transfer Pipe O-ring (2)

Also 4 metal seals that I have labelled Oil cooler hollow bolts seal (4). The parts number has come off but I think they're for the banjo bolts so suspect 11076852.

Wahler thermostat and housing for V6, with seal. This was a GM part but had 'GM' ground off when I bought it.

A new oil cooler and plate can't be had for less then £132, so I think £140 inc. postage is alright.

I'll put it up then! Haha! Joking aside I always wondered why the part numbers were different to other oil coolers I had seen, I think it must be down to the fact that the cooler and plate are separate items, but when supplied together has a different part number. Anyway, when typing the part number in ebay, apparently it'll also fit Saturns and other yank cars, and the price is a lot more than the £132, even though it's the same part.

Can I join your club? I'm all spent up and I fear any more Omega spending will result in the bank nuking my house...

The way I look at it is that I could spend about £160-200 /month on a Corsa or something on finance, and a fair bit less, thereby, on fuel. At present I chuck in about £25-30 a week for not that many miles (but it's a V6 that even got the recent Autoglass guys asking if they could hear it rev, to then exclaim "oooh a proper car!")

If I spend not more than £100 a month on my car's maintenance/improvement/modification, plus fuel, then I'm still up compared with everyone else at work with their financed faceless Korean jellymoulds  :)  :y

If only we could have a time share on this oil cooler Gastro ... :D
