Title: scanner v pedal trick
Post by: omega2018 on 28 October 2015, 01:04:12
an obd-ii scan of my car showed no stored codes but the pedal trick showed one- 0335 'CrankshaftPosition sensor "A" circuit malfunction' ( which is expected - i have just had to replace the crank sensor)

is this a fault with my scanner or does it happen often?  otherwise the scanner seems to be reading the data ok - revs, voltage, engine id etc etc...

It was a 80 quid handheld one although that went walkabout when I left it in a potential sellers car and didn't realises until The train trip home.  >:( so I'm on the cheapo +£20 BT one at the moment, the cheapo cheap under 10 quid BT ones are too problematic.

mine wouldn't read the crank sensor code but it did clear it for me - odd.

also today it read 11 errors codes on a BMW but would only clear 5,  on one ecu.
